FAQs - booking Bremen flights

  • Which hotels in Bremen Airport can I access?

When looking to enjoy a meal or nap at a hotel in the airport, there are three airport premises that you can visit. The Holiday Inn Express hotel is within 200m distance from the airport. You can also go to Atlantic Hotel opposite terminal 3’s Departures Hall. TRYP by Wyndham Bremen Airport Hotel is also a good option to consider when choosing a hotel to visit at the airport. The hotels are a walking distance from the airport terminals; therefore, no shuttles offer transit to the hotels.

  • Does Bremen Airport have lounges?

Yes. When visiting Bremen, regardless of the class of service you fly, there are lounges that you can access. You can go to the Bremen Airport Lounge airside of terminal 3, close to gates A1 to A5, and the Primeclass Lounge, also airside of terminal 1 in the departures area. These lounges are accessible by paying at the door or using a lounge membership program. If you fly First or Business class, there is an airline lounge, the Lufthansa Business Lounge, in terminal 3 behind the security control you can access after your journey.

  • Does Bremen Airport offer luggage services to travelers?

If you are traveling with heavy baggage to Bremen, you can get the luggage trolleys valid for transit to and from different airport areas once you land. To get the free trolleys, go to the terminal and to all car park levels, where you’ll get the trolleys. If you are traveling to Bremen on a round trip or stopping at BRE for a layover, you can get the luggage wrapping services at the left luggage office in Terminal 1 to safeguard your bags during transit.

  • What transportation options do I have from Bremen Airport to the city center?

BRE is served by Tram line 6 and local bus line 52. The bus system, departing every 30min operates between the Kattenturm and Huchting through the airport. The tram line, however, leaves every 10min and runs between the airport, the city center, and the railway station. Taxis are a convenient alternative to BRE. The taxis are outside the airport’s arrivals area. You can also rent a vehicle from the agencies on-site.

  • How far is Bremen Airport from central Bremen?

The city centre of Bremen is 3 km from Bremen.

  • What is the name of Bremen’s airport?

There is only 1 airport in Bremen, called Bremen Airport (BRE). It can also be referred to as Bremen.

  • How does KAYAK find such low prices on flights to Bremen?

KAYAK is a travel search engine. That means we look across the web to find the best prices we can find for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights to Bremen.

  • How does KAYAK's flight Price Forecast tool help me choose the right time to buy my flight ticket to Bremen?

KAYAK’s flight Price Forecast tool uses historical data to determine whether the price for a flight to Bremen is likely to change within 7 days, so travellers know whether to wait or book now.

  • What is the Hacker Fare option on flights to Bremen?

Hacker Fares allow you to combine one-way tickets in order to save you money over a traditional round-trip ticket. You could then fly to Bremen with an airline and back with another airline.

  • What is KAYAK's "flexible dates" feature and why should I care when looking for a flight to Bremen?

Sometimes travel dates aren't set in stone. If your preferred travel dates have some wiggle room, flexible dates will show you all the options when flying to Bremen up to 3 days before/after your preferred dates. You can then pick the flights that suit you best.

  • How many direct flights to Bremen are there each week?

Each week there are around 145 direct flights from within United States to Bremen. The most common day for departures is Monday, with 19% of flights taking off on this day.

  • Bremen Airport has baby care rooms located throughout the airport in all the terminals. If you have a baby with you, you can use one of these facilities to care for your baby’s needs.

It is ridiculous that Lufthansa weighs your carry-on bags. It's also ridiculous how strict they are about the 50 pound rule when you're flying overseas for nearly 3 weeks. The reality is, that if you book a business or first class ticket you get a $70 luggage allowance. It's bullshit that it's not about safety. It's not about regulation. It's about money. And that pisses me off. Furthermore, under price, which I assume was the travel consolidator for my ticket sold me some bullshit ticket that did not include to check luggage. What a bunch of nonsense. That's a scam. There shouldn't even be a ticket offered to Europe without checked luggage. I don't know how most people are, but now I'm gonna be very skeptical about using KAYAK again and flying Lufthansa. I think maybe it's best I just booked with the airline directly.

The crew could deploy more customer focus and not frown when asked a question. I’m speaking of one lady in particular who raised a hand in my face for me to wait whe I tried to ask a question and never came back to me. Very unprofessional and rude.

They set someone on our assigned seats and we ended up finding seats for ourselves to ensure the family sits together.

Very efficient and excellent service. Nice amenities and beautiful plane. Elevated meals. Boarding could have been more organized. We missed our connecting flight due to EU entry but Lufthansa was extremely quick to rebook us.

Aircraft had fairly roomy seats on economy. Food was good (beef dinner).

Broken seat did not recline fully, broken footrest, no air vents, no electricity for charging devices, outlets for headphones or isb did not work. Rude crew. Horrible experience. Would never fly Lufthansa again

The Discover flight from TPA to FRA was exceptionally unprofessional and incompetent in organization. First the entertainment system was completely nonfunctional for the entire plane and no competent IT support to fix. Than they could not serve any coffee or tea because they ran out of water - reflecting the exceptionally incompetent management at Discovery and most embarrassing for Lufthansa and a German airline, more like a third world country. The food was mediocre at best and minimalistic for Discover, particularly with the much higher standards at Lufthansa.

Lufthansa's Miami International counter folks are very strict on carry-on weight. Can't be greater than 8 kg otherwise they force you to check it for a fee. Bags came out at baggage claim as soon as we arrived to that location (it is a far walk from arrival gate to bag pickup). We do travel with Lufthansa domestically and enjoy every trip.

It started well but flight was cancelled and they created a nightmare rebooking. It is two days later and we still haven’t reached our destination. I am in Amsterdam waiting on transfer desk to open (later than other airlines) to hopefully get a boarding pass. Once that problem is solved we will just pray this flight isn’t cancelled too.

The flight was cancelled, so why are you asking me how the flight was?
