My boarding pass said gate E5. I arrived at gate E5 by 12:45pm. At 2:10pm, I received a phone call stating I was supposed to be at gate D37. They would not wait for me to get there (by the way, the plane was still there when I got to gate D37, but everything was closed and no one was at the door). The next flight at 7:40pm was sold out; was told I'd be put on the 9:47pm flight. I was so stressed, I became chokey (apparently I have mild asthma). By the grace of God, a lot of begging, and the customer service rep taking pity on me, I was able to get on a 4:50pm flight to Philadelphia.

Staff announced flight was delayed. Then after passengers took the extra time to get food etc, announced it was on time. Not enough overhead space for a full flight Seats were super small and crammed. Crew welcomed us aboard to another "on time gate departure” only to sit on the tarmac for two hours. They made 2 announcements as to why that no one could understand. NO ENTERTAINMENT- food was a bag of old pretzrks. After landing, sat on the tarmac for another 20 minutes “looking for a parking spot”. I never fly American due to past poor performance. I had to that day due to departure time. American never fails to disappoint.
Delayed 4 hours which is out of control the airlines BUT what IS in control is their service. After 4 hours delay, they charged me for a beverage on the flight - completely unacceptable. Then I woke up a $12 beverage coupon AFTER I get home - that I can't use. This was HORRIBLE customer experience. I fly weekly and have a choice and will not choose American again if not credited for this flight and/or awarded miles. This was a poor experience.
There is was everything terrible all my flights was delayed so I missed my connection flights
We sat on the tarmac for an hour. After our flight got delayed 30 minutes because the crew was late.
The seatbelt light was on the whole trip - inconvenient but also unsafe. I was told to keep the window blind down the whole trip though I specifically paid for a window seat to be able to....see out the window. It was also two hours late causing me to miss my connection.
Flight was delayed, boarded, sat at the gate for more than 30 minutes, left the gate then waited on the pad for another 30 to 60 minutes then returned to the gate, deboarded and was cancelled... alternative flight was not booked automatically. Waited in line for 30 minutes but fortunately an alternate flight to a different destination was found ... no thanks to the travel agent used by kayak
The flight changed gates multiple times and flight had to be delayed multiple times
I like that the crew kept us informed but we moved back and forth from gate to gate before the aircraft arrived.
The new seating in BC was a joy. My vegetarian pasta dish was excellent, very creative. The chicken potpie was ..... The crew was extremely focused and impersonal, but everything worked.
British airways needs to improve their luggage handling process and communications. The luggage was lost/left in UK. But, this was not communicated to me as a traveler and because of the wait at the carousel in Seattle (we have to go through customs and immigration on arrival to US) I missed the connecting flight and had to be rebooked. No one informed me that the luggage wasn't there, and there was no one there at the carousel to check with or help me get through security faster. I wasn't the only one- there were a lot of people waiting for luggage that didn't arrive.
The flights were on time. Cabin crew were nice. The food was terrible! Checking in was not easy using my phone.
Everything was spectacular except the boarding. It was just a mob of people while all groups were called over the public address system.
Late takeoff, but on time landing. Lost bags, 3 days to find them, still in transit to my location. Power outlets broken, Wi-Fi not working, so much for working on the long flight.
I checked in to bags, one arrived one was delayed. I did not receive the bag for 4 days - arrived on Tuesday, received bag on Saturday!
Everything about the flight check-in was smooth no line the plane is clean and bathroom
Better synchronizing the boarding processes. The audio announcements, the personnel and the digital signage were not saying the same thing. All confusion.
My problem was with the onward connection between London Heathrow and Washington IAD. The flight was several times changed.
All was good. The headphones they supply are of poor quality. The food is good but too much dairy.
Truly felt "taken care of". Will definitely fly British Airways again.
