Comfortable seats, good drinks with lots of water refills, staff was kind and understanding of my disabled mother!
The bathroom trash container under the sink fell out and was like that long before my flight. The plane smelled of canned fish and floor was Deteriorating
Flight was delayed 14 hours! We missed an entire day of our vacation and had to pay for hotel that we didn’t use
Could not check in online. Called airline twice, thinking Hawaiian Airlines could check me in during phone call. NO. In 2nd phone call, Customer Service explained that due to “transition period” of Hawaiian Airlines/Alaska Airlines merger, I could only check in at the airport. In addition, flight to Kahului was late at arrival gate; I made connection to Lihue but my bag did not, so I had to return to Lihue airport a couple hours after my arrival to retrieve the bag.
Flying on Hawaiian Airlines was good. But, getting a boarding pass was a hassle. I booked what I thought was an Alaska Airlines flight that was actually a Hawaiian Airlines flight. I couldn't check in online. I had to wait for the Hawaiian Airlines counter to open so I could get my boarding pass which was a requirement for me to get in The Club or the Centurion Lounge. (I had no check in luggage so I didn't expect to have to physically check in.) The Alaska Airlines staff blamed the FAA for the problem.

You sold me a $230 seat upgrade. But it was exactly the same seat as the $89 upgrade. The bait and switch seems to have become common practice.
Flight was okay. Flew with my dog who was supposed to be brought to cargo 30 minutes after flight but they took and hour and a half. He’s a living breathing animal who had been locked in a crate for 6 hours already. The fact that he wasn’t prioritized over suitcases of clothes makes me never want o fly Alaska again.
Comfortable seat, plenty of leg room which is so rare, overhead bin comfortably accommodated my carry-on bag. Deli box was tasty, service was good, bathrooms were clean. Uneventful flight, which I appreciate. Departed on time and landed early.
ALASKAN AIRLINES Canceled the flight 2 days before THEN ALASKAN AIRLINES charged me $900 to RE-BOOK a flight they cancelled,
No charging outlets worked. Other than collecting trash attendants didn’t come around. No one could hear flight attendants announcements during the flight. Seat pads were horrible. Sitting on a board for 5 hours. What happened to Hawaiian airlines comfort, hospitality, and extras? Our pilots did an excellent job trying to minimize turbulence and incredible job in landing in windy conditions.
3 hour wait on customer service after flight was cancelled. Was bumped to a flight where I wouldnt have gotten to my destination for another 2 days. Had to fully refund flight and book a new one the following morning. Paid twice the amount for the flight than I had originally booked. Very disappointed I was not offered any sort of discount or points for all of the frustration, in fact the airline profited twice as much off of me by cancelling my flight and and changing my entire trip.
Usually we have a pleasant trip on HA. Not this time! All stewards were unpleasant, rude, rushed, condescending. First step onto the plane, WE greeted the crew with an “Hello!”. They greeted us with a terse smile then ignored us. Not a good start. Even over the PA announcements, they were rushed and unpleasant. One Stewart even berated a passenger in front of us when all they asked is if the purchase cart had vodka to purchase. The steward said “LIKE WE SAID OVER THE PA, THIS ONLY HAS FOOD OR BEVERAGE!” Vodka is a beverage! It was a legitimate question. Not sure why she treated the passenger this way. Taking trash was even unpleasant, No “Thank you” or at least a smile. I work in CS. I know good CS can make or break your trip. There was absolutely no “aloha” on this trip. All clearly did not want to be on this plane and felt strongly that they did not want to provide a premium service to their clients. This might be our last HA and cancellation of my HA-MC if we are treated the same way going home. We are typically treated with kindness and warmth in the past with HA. This trip was unacceptable.
Check in process was a mess. Long lines, equipment malfuctioning. One line for baggage tags then a second line for bag checkin.
Not so good. The takeoff was aborted after reaching 100 knots due to a problem with the front tires. I do commend the pilot for a quick decision and preventing a potential disaster. We returned to the gate to put fresh tires on the front. Our flight was delayed for over 3 hours. The rest of the flight was okay. We were reimbursed by Hawaiian Airlines for only $50. Not too generous
Arrived at the gate with no seats assigned. Was told by gate agent the flight was full and we would not be on it. I asked the gate agent how could I be sold tickets when the flight was full. She replied, “Thats just how they do it.” I was able to get seats once I arrived at the gate. The flight itself was great. I’ll never purchase tickets without seat assignments from kayak or anyone again. Shame on kayak or Hawaiian airlines or all of you.
The food was good but for the landing we had to wait 30 mins for the other plane to depart to its destination
Friendly and helpful crew. But we departed 4 hours later than scheduled departure.
Wonderful flight. Food and drink were given as well as wifi. Amazing luxury!
Our first experienced in Hawaiian Airlines was just okay. I traveled with my 2 year old and 5 year old and both kids are first time in Kona. We had delayed in San Francisco for 3 hours which is okay safety first. Originally our flight from sfo to maui to Kona since we had delayed the airlines re-route us from sfo to maui to Honolulu to Kona. I don’t know what to do I felt bad with my two kids they have been in 4 Airports and 4 airplanes going to Kona. I cried after we checked in at the courtyard Kona. It was a lot for my 2 year old and 5 year. Like I said I know it is safety first but the Airlines could have done better for people that traveling with kids. If you are in my shoes all what will you do? Anyhow, I tried to make my two kids as happy as possible while we are in Kona. I am not certain to fly Hawaiian Airlines again. I hope my experienced helps to improve whatever it needs to improve With all due respect, Christina Lorenzo
It was a short, comfortable flight. It did leave an hour late due to the pilot having to be replaced (family emergency) but that didn’t inconvenience myself & my friend. The situation was explained, eventually.
Lost one piece of luggage even though I checked in 2.5 hours before the flight
Older aircraft, no meal, only food was for purchase. Not impressed United.
Stuck on tarmac for two hours plus a 5.5 hour flight. Rude flight attendant. And no meals, not even for purchase!
I learned that seating towards the end of plane that a line forms for the restroom and people use your chair as a hand railing, bumping your seat consistently. I was seated in the aisle. I think that next time if I am towards the back row I would want to sit in the middle or window seat.
Boarding seemed to be organized bedlam. For what ever reason, preboarding took longer than 20 minutes. Made the plane 20 minutes late taking off. Luckily we arrived on time. Flight crew seemed very friendly. Only slight turbulence.
The personnel were professional and friendly. The Boeing 737 Max 9 is too claustrophobic and was very warm at both airport gates, and still warm in the air.
They busted my entire trip via incompetent maintenance and scheduling. I'm out about 1000 dollars. Funnily the only entity to not return my money is the Dirtbag Airline United Airlines that cause me this financial inconvenience. Please for the love of god blacklist United. They're just stealing at this point. They hold reservations and break them then say it's your fault? No ma'am.
Everything was great, only problem was that flights were delayed
Crew was nice and helped. But they placed my checkin suitcase on the wrong airplane so I didn’t have my CPAP machine to use for 1 night. The United attendant at HNL informed me that it’s on the next flight from SFO to HNL and ETA is 8:18PM and that they will deliver it tonight. At 9:30 PM, I saw conflicting reports , one saying it’s on the way from the airport and the other saying it’ll be delivered after 6:45 am tomorrow. So I called UA Zbaggage Resolution Center and the agent says it’ll be delivered tomorrow by nighttime At latest.
