We waited in the jetway for over an hour before we got on the plane.
I flew in business a couple of months ago, it was great, tried again in economy, it is the cramped seat I have ever been into, for an overseas flight across the atlantic it is inhumane to put passengers in such cramped space. Other than that, everything ok. Took a second flight from Madrid to London, also economy and it was roomy and perfect.
12 hours flight. Only one meal, not enough food. At the galley only water during the flight. Lavatories not clean. Headsets at extra cost.
Everything should improve! Service like a low cost but prices like a premium airline. Crew in general with bad manners arguing for everything. You pay for priority access but then they use buses, so your loose your advantage to put your carry on first. That was the purpose for paying for priority. Bording is a nightmare, people accessing the plane for bothering doors, front and rear, no matter which line do you have.
Issues with plane led to multiple gate changes and chaos. Very little communication from the ground crew led to cranky passengers.
They should at least offer water like other airlines, which seems like a humanitarian gesture to me
Well. It is a no frills airline. Annoying is that even for the long-haul everything has to be paid for separately. Once you add up the extras the flight is getting to expensive. Then one might as well fly with a legacy carrier which provides far better comfort. Changing flight at MAD airport is a nightmare. The worst airport in the world. Poor signposting, poor passport control, poor security check and long queues. I had 2h transfer time and spend in queues almost 1.5h
I travel on a monthly basis and I’m not a stranger to budget airlines. I never complain about anything, it just about adjusting you expectations to what you paid for and you will get, but these flights (2) with Air Europa Miami - Madrid - Athens were a terrible experience. Both flights had a significant delays and multiple gate changes. At the checking they used a hand scale to weight your carry in, it cannot be more than 10 kg , even it fit on size.Luckily mine was ok . The food was inedible. The staff service was ok, but you can totally tell they do not care about much and show little customer service culture. I think this was my last trip on Air Europa. Actually the price was almost the same than other major airlines, I just took this one because I needed to depart late at night.
Probably will never use this air line again. Rude miserable staff. Uncomfortable seats.
Boarding, crew and flight were very smooth and efficient. It was a bit difficult to understand the announcements on board, but it is a minor thing. What was quite bad was the very long time it took to retrieve the luggage at the Frankfurt airport.
It’s got the tightest seats of any airline - my knees were smashed for 3 hours - absolutely awful.
Arrived on time. Great crew. Good food. Luggage delivered promptly
Better pillow cases in economy. I didn’t like that I couldn’t pick my seats since I booked with Kayak.
A friendlier and more helpful crew would have been much better.
The flight had no working entertainment system or WiFi. Very old plane. Some restrooms weren’t working. My seat was broken. Just a very bad experience for 13 hours. A real shame they allow planes in this state to fly.
Yeah you have time and can sit around for a while to be okay for you but if you planned on getting connected flights I recommend not to fly with this Airline it's best they for flying out of the country
Improve food options. Do not charge so much for checked bags. As some who paid 990 EUR fir the round trip international flight it is horrendous to pay another 140 for 1 checked bag.

This trip was a total nightmare, got to the airport in Wed March 8th after confirming all flights, only to be told by American Airlines that we are not confirmed on the flight. We met a pretty rude and unhelpful AA check in agent by the name of Ali. American said it was not their problem, contact Kayak/Chatdeal and sort out your issue.Chatdeal said all flights were confirmed and it is the airlines fault. So it went, we were kicked between American, Kayak and Iberia spending hrs on the phone- all said it is not their fault.Spent 9 hrs in the airport on Wed 15th trying to sort out. Luckily, we met a really nice AA agent Shawnna G who went way beyond the call of.duty to help us out. We were put the next day on Thurs 16th from DfW to San Paulo Brazil the onto Madrid!! Imagine that..10000 miles and 20hrs of travelling to get to Madrid from Dallas!! Our trip took 3 days to get there ..Wed 8th Thurs 9th and Fri 10th.Got there on Sat 11th, so lost 2 days of our vacation and a lot of emotional and physical stress on our 2 kids travelling with us.
