Lufthansa was great. Crew on board excellent. Frankfort passport control horrible it took about two hours to get through. After waiting in line for hours there was a discussion with the passenger in front of me that was taking forever. The couple behind me had a connecting flight to Turkey in 30 minutes and asked border control officer of her situation and the control officer told the couple in a nasty tone if you don’t like it you can go to another line which would have surely made her miss the flight. Border patrol officers were not helpful. Finally made it through I had to exit and reentry for security check for my connecting flight which Lufthansa changed gates and I had to run to get to A60. Which it seemed 2 kilometers to get to but I made it. If i fid not have 2.5 hrs layover i would have missed my connecting flight to Milan. Not sure if I will fly through Frankfort in the future.
3 4 3 seats are cruel, the average person should be able to fit in the seats and this was not the case. I was at an angle for hours just to remain in my seat .
This was a "cattle car" flight loaded with the tightest seats I've ever flown internationally. I will try hard never to fly Discover Airlines again.
TV wasn’t working, flight attendants never came when turning on the light, luggage was delayed and when delivered it was broken. No suitcase for the rest of our 2 week trip with no response when claimed filed
Lost our luggage, now two days and four $30 each taxi trips to airport and long lines in taxi queue because Lufthansa didn’t get it right, by not recognizing new delays between flights caused byEU new lengthy crossing requirements for non EU travelers, so luggage lost because traditionally methodical and orderly Germans not paying attention.
Boarding it group 6 is unreasonable for gold members of codeshare airlines. Lots it luggage compartments full of crew and other bs. 6 rows of passengers no stowage
Someone sat in my seat and this made boarding protracted and unpleasant. The stewardesses kept saying, “it is important that everyone be seated — or we will be further delayed,” but for a long time they did not tell me where to sit. At the end of the flight a baby screamed loudly for several minutes and it took ninety minutes (!) to get through EU passport and customs. We had to stand the whole time in a an overheated room. The seat on the plane was narrow. These things are not all Lufthansa’s fault but they made for a somewhat unpleasant trip.
So poor I will endeavour to never fly with them again. Booked flight direct with Lufthansa, LHR to Leipzig, with stop in Frankfurt. Transfer in Frankfurt, via app and website was a '9min walk'...it, quite simply is not - it was a complete terminal change, with passport control & 2nd security check. No guidance provided by gate staff. Missed connection (despite agents at passport control granting line bypass and running for 750m). No assistance from gate agents at missed flight (along with approximately 15 other passengers that didn't make connection. Lufthansa Service Centre staff helpful - their manager was not, stated it was our fault for not leaving enough time to make transfer, revoked compensation....err, how are we supposed to know about construction, new security procedures, late gate changes??? Really??? We went were airline sent us, at pace, they messed up (twice on both legs of journey). Will avoid at all costs in future.
Both of my flights on Lufthansa (coming and going) were cancelled. I was rebooted on united airlines, separated from my family/traveling partners. On our flight to luxembourgh we ended up in seats separated by several rows on the long flight, although we PAID to sit together. On the return trip we ended up on 3 completely different flights. When speaking to Lufthansa they didn't even acknowledge the outbound flights were cancelled. We were unable to meet with traveling companions in Chicago as we were flown to Denver. The quality of service, customer service and food between united and Lufthansa cannot be compared. The food on united was not attractive and the taste was similar to school lunch food. Not close to the meals I have had on Lufthansa. Hardly an equal "trade". I was unhappy with my travel experience on this trip.
Staff was nice. Plane was new and clean. The food/sandwich was horrible. Absolutely disgusting for a four hour flight. I’d rather not get anything.
