If you have never tried it, definitely use this airline! They operate small aircraft with open cabins so you can see the pilots fly. The seats are also very comfortable and there is plenty of seating room for even the tallest people.
1) have phone numbers where we can call... a human... not this bot stuff... 2) the austrian airlines crew directs us to the airport lost and found for left behind objects, then the airport lost and found directs us back to them. Listen y'all, if you can't get this straight, what are you thinking expecting us to? Cheap, unprofessional, looks like a airline on the way to going under. If you can't afford well-trained staff... well... ask not for whom be bell tolls... it tolls for you.

Boarding by bus - this is 2026! Luggage did not board the plane though we had over two hours between flights. After it was located it didn’t fly immediately but waited one or two flights until boarding to fly yo Belgrade.
We have travelled on 13 December with Austrian Airlines from Yangon through Bangkok and Vienna to Varna. The first flight operated by Thai Airlines was nice and comfortable. I wouldn’t say the same thing about the next two flights which were operated directly by the Austrian Airlines. During our flight from Bangkok to Vienna: > The service was very poor – serving of food and drinks was disorganized, late and not combined, the stewards were walking back and forth without doing anything substantial for the passengers. Even the morning breakfast was very late with a cup of coffee almost while landing (after a reminding). > The food itself was OK-ish but for a 12-hour flight, there were no snacks/bites in between dinner and breakfast as it is with the other airlines. > The cutlery was wooden, most probably recycling, but very unpleasant to eat with. > The stewards were not rude but not friendly and/or helpful > And also, half of the passengers had travel sets, others did not. The flight from Vienna to Varna was another surprise: firstly, the flight was late and secondly, they were serving only water free, even the coffee was paid, so were the snacks, but we had to pay to reserve seats. The whole experience is as if it was a low-cost airline. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend using the services of Austrian Airlines: the ticket prizes are quite the same as of the other carriers flying to this destination and you would have much pleasant time.
I paid for carry-on bag, but they did not let me take it on board, persuaded to check it in because the flight was full. I agreed to help them out, and they mixed up tag numbers and my bag got lost. I had very valuable things in there, and my whole vacation experience was ruined. I even asked the boarding assistant why the tag number was different from the assigned one, but they assured me it was alright and the bag will arrive to my destination. Nothing arrived of course. Incompetence of boarding assistants cost me the loss of all my things.
They lost our luggage and there has been no news for 5 days. I called their office and they said they can’t help us, we don’t do anything about it.
There was not enough sparkling water available during the flight from LAX to Vienna.
From all the segments I flew it was the only one I did not get the option to choose ni seat, I did not get the quality of seat I had paid for. Crew was nice, airplane was clean, but no food, only water and a small courtesy chocolate. Everything else you had to pay for.
Tight connection from Austrian Airlines made this challenging. Our luggage did not make it, delivered the next day at noon. Flight itself was very full, not especially comfortable.
The flight was late. We accommodated other missed flights, and the plane was full of people, without space to store carry-on luggage. They lost our checked luggage for the entire flight and delivered it after two days.
The entertainment system was not working, they tried restarting it couple of times but it did not fix it. We were told to contact Lufthansa costumer service after the flight for some kind of reimbursement. When costumer service was contacted I was told no reimbursement for entertainment system malfunction per policy.
That was the last time I booked Kayak. The connecting flight got canceled and the trouble shooting terrible. Next times, I will book the airlines directly. Good bye
The flight was about 10 minutes late which made it kind of tight for connection in Frankfurt. One think that was helpful for my husband and I since we don’t speak the language was when we got off the shuttle bus, two ground crew told us very clearly how to make the connection.
The agent, who took my mother to her gate, kept talking with one of her male coworkers and treating my mother like a sack of potatoes. She was ignoring my questions because she was too busy flirting with her male colleague. This was a very unprofessional behavior. We also had to wait for close to half an hour for an agent to arrive.
Very good flight, only problem is the boarding process where some peoples do not have manners and do not how to fly ( preparing your documents, oversized carry-ons, not understanding or feigning to not understand directives).
Flight from Munich to Geneva was delayed an hour without any notice. Finally called 5 minutes after their flight was supposed to leave only to be told it was late. Then after boarding- we were told to leave the plane go back to the terminal so they could make a repair. NO Communication whatsoever. Agent at the airport was rude and offensive. Finally got on the plane three hours after originally planned. Lost our car reservation in Geneva and had to pay $200 more to get the rental. HORRIBLE-HORRIBLE-HORRIBLE!!!!
I really like it and travel to Europe and back with Lufthansa, but it is getting expensive, a bit beyond my me
Not available crew to load the luggage for all the passengers,comon situation for local European destinations , not acceptable situation, never Lufthansa again 😉 🙄
The flight has been delayed and arrived 30 minutes late. I had a very tough connection in Frankfurt, I had to run to catch my flight to Newark and Lufthansa was absolutely not helpful. They just told me I have to hurry but didn't tell me where I should go , I was very disappointed
Flight was overbooked. Crew did a great job but passengers weren’t nice and really not patient. Flying in these times is not the best idea tbh.
