The plane was delayed about 3 hours for takeoff due to mechanical/electrical issues. The actual flight after takeoff was smooth, piloting excellent, landing great. The food served before landing at CLT airport was terrible.

Boarding was chaotic and unhelpful for a mobility assist passenger. Flight was fine. No food or drink offered for a three hour flight other than water.

The second leg of the trip was ok. I had a premium economy ticket and that was not touched by the airline.

The boarding procedure with Boarding Category Group 5 clients is just undignified.

It was a short flight. I don't really have any notes. You bring your own entertainment but as long as you aren't boring or forgetful that's not a bad thing. There were snacks and they gave me chocolate before we disembarked!

Proximity of the the gate to the lounge could have been better but overall a nice experience. The lounge was exceptional. Getting from the Schengen side to the international side was also pain free. Boarding the plane, service on board , disembarking at Heathrow and quick delivery of bags all made for a good overall experience.

I bought premium economy tickets with a fully flexible fare, and made seats selection for me and my son: window and aisle. After checking in online, Lufthansa cancelled the seat assignment without informing me. As a result, my son and I were assigned mid-center row seats, in different rows. This ruined the trip.

The staff were so very cheerful and happy! It really made my day to encounter such chipper folks throughout my journey

Flew on a relatively old Airbus A340. Must have been one of the tightest economy seats I've ever experienced in a 2-4-2 setup. Seat doesn't recline much, and you're basically sitting up-right for the entire 11+ hours. Meal service was curt. The hot/warm dish was half squished causing some of the contents to squeeze out and make a mess when it was tossed onto the tray. TV screen is small for this day and age, and the USB didn't work to charge anything either. However there are lots of movies and tv shows, so that was good.
