A previous client had smoked Marijuana in the vehicle and we brought it up to Hertz attendant immediately. He said hel’ll make a note of it. The other note, it would be nice to have an after hours dropp off or some self checkout mechanism.

Location in Mesquite Texas has inexperienced staff that attempted to argue with us that the online reservation quote we got was not accurate. Fortunately we had printed out the reservation as proof and it still took an escalated conversation with a more experienced staff member to honor our reservation. Then the car type we reserved was not available & we were told to wait 2 hours and it might arrive. Are you kidding? So, we inquired if there was a different vehicle available and there was. Now why would we need to ask that question. This is a very poorly trained staff in their ability to resolve issues and work in a professional manner. Not sure we will be back to this location.

Hertz cancelled our PAID reservation at 4:00pm the day before we were to pick it up at 9:00am! They said the airport was a priority customer. We will never use Hertz again.
Very disappointed. Did not get vehicle till 4:00pm. Reservation was for noon. Drove to Budget one week earlier to look at vehicle and luggage space, asked the person who was waiting on us to change pick up time to 8:00am, she told us she would, got there at 8:00a and no car. Told us our reservations was for noon. Showed us this nice van with places for kids plugs to iPads, nice direction map and back up camera/screen. Got what we felt was a cargo van someone stuck seats in. On day of pick up we called all day, no one would answer the phone….phone went to the 800 number and NO ONE helped. All apologied, but “you have to get with that office”. We wanted to beat the rain that started that evening around three. Drove in the rain with some water planing sensor going off the entire night and next morning. Again, very disappointed.
