Everything you would expect for $69/night except the staff were some of the friendliest I have experienced at this level of hotel. The bathroom was rough, mold spots above the doorway. Whole hotel kind of smelled of mildew but it’s Florida and humidity is hard to deal with. This wasn’t an issue for me but if you know you have mold allergies etc it may not be the best. Pros (+) From check it to check out the staff at this one of the best in the business. Everyone on the team goes out of their way to be friendly, helpful and positive. Great breakfast, nice big, clean rooms, large vanity, with big fridge and microwave in the room, nice pool and proximity to Ikea and Sawgrass Mills make stays very pleasurable.
Cons (-) The hotel is currently being renovated so there is a lot of work going on around the hotel. We did not notice a tremendous amount of noice but please be aware that there is currently ongoing activity. Also, there are 2 La Quinta Inns across of 2nd Avenue so be sure that you are at the right building while coming and going. They are managed buy the same team so you can’t go wrong at either one.
