I thought it was full of transients standing around outside talking on phones and smoking, changing clothes in the rooms with the doors open, but I realized they were out of town workers staying weekly rates. The BW was probably a better choice especially if you have kiddos

Pros (+) i love this old school hotel! Its ancient but well maintained... looks like something right out of pulp fiction! I enjoyed being on the shore of the lake - and if I'd had more time - I would have rented a paddle board. The rooms were comfy - and I didn't hear a peep from others - slept well. Yea the beds weren't super soft - but they were clean and sufficient - I mean what do you want from a cheap...

Cons (-) softer beds. The pillows were too big and stiff. Those stairs are downright scary - I think an upgrade might be in order?
