Pros (+) The Houghton super 8 is always clean. And a wonderful value. It is withing walking distance to both the Michigan Tech campus and downtown Houghton. It is also right on the canal which is beautiful in the summer and fall, and right on the snowmobile trailer for the winter.
Cons (-) Since is right on the snowmobile trailer, we did have some noise at night. A bit frustrating, but it does not deter us from staying there again. Also, the free breakfast is very minimal. We were able to fine something to eat, but don't expect a full continental breakfast you get at other hotels (that are in a higher price range). We love the location.

Pros (+) The view is fantastic
Cons (-) The bathroom is so small even the sink won't fit inside, its outside right as you walk in the room. I'm a very small dude (5'6"/110) and it was cramped for me trying to maneuver in the bathroom as there is no place to sit anything down. Additionally, the coffee machine in the room was visibly dusty inside and the smallish tv was placed low on a dresser, making it very inconvenient to watch from th...

Pros (+) Continental breakfast was great, close to downtown, bike/walking trail on the backside of hotel. Comfortable beds - will stay here again!
