Pros (+) Polite and helpful front desk staff, who simultaneously wait tables in the restaurant adjacent to reception without a hitch. Massive and well equipped bathroom in the room I was allocated. Great location in the Peak District, near Chatsworth House, but also next to the Peak Shopping Village.
Cons (-) Carpets could do with updating.

Pros (+) A generally pleasant ambience but let down by quite a lot of poorly managed details for a £150+ per night hotel. The staff were generally nice & friendly, as well as courteous. The grounds are very attractive & well-maintained.
Cons (-) A number of areas looked tired. Downstairs gents toilets were scruffy & dirty Limited restaurant opening times (latest ordering time on a Friday evening: 8:00pm even when we struggled to arrive in time due to traffic delays) Disappointing, over-priced food (a requested "medium" rib-eye steak was served virtually raw.
